Bihari bhai, as fondly known by his dear ones took a keen interest in the Swadeshi movement in Ahmedabad after completing his education in LLB and was a leading figure in promoting Khadi under the leadership of Gandhiji, Vallabhbhai and Morarji Desai. He became a prominent figure in Ahmedabad’s Congress Committee and held the position of Treasurer. He secured victory in the civic polls to become the Chairman of the Standing Committee of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation; a post which he held from 1961 to 1966 for which he holds the joint longest tenure record. In 1978 he founded AUDA(Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority) along with several likeminded individuals and became it’s first Chairman. Afterwards he assumed the role of Managing Trustee for Navajivan Trust, an organisation which he had served for since his childhood days and continued to do so till his death.

Biharilal Shah, being the patron of the group had laid the foundation stone for Ahmedabad Dyeing, Rupam Cinema(Ahmedabad and Mumbai) and Indian Textile Mill in Mumbai and several other businesses and institutions which had a glorious run spanning over decades and creating employment for thousands of people. His values of honesty, simplicity, bravery, truthfulness and uprightness continue to inspire us.

Yogesh Shah has overseen the group’s operations in both Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

In 2005 he commissioned Rupam Petroleum as an Indian Oil dealer and continues to guide the group with his wisdom and integrity.

Being the founder and chairperson of the Rupam EcoGreen Textile Park, Mr Nandan Shah is a veteran of the textile industry having 25+ years of experience in the field and having successfully run Ahmedabad Dyeing & Printing Pvt. Ltd. as it’s Managing Director.

Mr Nandan Shah has also developed several other industrial estates to provide an affordable and suitable place to the newcomers in the industry to be able to make a living from the textile industry of Ahmedabad by creating businesses in the field of dyeing, printing , washing and laundry.

He has mentored the Rupam Group since the beginning of his career taking it to new heights.

Vandan Shah has cemented his position as the leading movie distributor and exhibitor across Gujarat and continues to take Rupam Entertainment Pvt Ltd to new heights under his leadership.

Today Rupam Entertainment Pvt Ltd is a name synonymous with the release of movies across Gujarat and our vast network of over 300 screens ensures the best footfalls for any movie release under our banner. Since the beginning of his career he has continued to lead Rupam Cinema.
